Flashing This is a venerable roof design on a Lebanon Ohio Home. Note where a tremendous amount of water meets in the valley (dip). As you can see there is a discoloration and shingle displacement due to this design. It was recommended that a metal flashing be installed to avoid potential leakage problems.
Main Column As you can probably guess, wood shims are not the best way to support your house.
Lot Drainage As you can tell, the aggregate is washed away from underneath these steps. This was due to rainwater that was not appropriately directed away from the building. It took several years for this problem to occur.
Asbestos This is a picture of a Commercial boiler pipe with Asbestos installation. This was quite common in the 1970's when this was installed.
Crawlspace We inspect were no others have gone before. This is actually a good photo of a crawlspace. The problem, not viewed in this picture, was excessive water seepage throughout the entire perimeter of the crawlspace. This was a 4 year old house in Lebanon Ohio!
Junction Box Not the best way to secure junction boxes. This was a newly built log cabin of about 1.5 years of age. Maybe the builder forgot this "loose end"?
