Q- What/When Can I Expect My Report ?

A- Unlike some other Home Inspection companies, House To Home Inspections delivers your professional home inspection report electronically before the end of the inspection day (usually 4 to 5 hours after your home inspection). We do have the capabilities to produce your report on site but, choose not to do so unless requested. Here's why:

1. On site reports are hurried (electronically) or insufficient in their explanations (novice-"realtor friendly" checklist type reports).
2. It takes us time to carry in and set up the laptop and printer (about 20 minutes). We would rather spend that time carefully inspecting your home instead of being "under the clock".
3. We review all of our field notes and spell check all our reports in the office simply because we have the time to do so. For a 50+ page report (the average size of our home inspection reports), it takes 5 minutes just to spell check the entire report.
4. As you probably have already read, we do not use or produce checklist type reports. These type of reports are for inspectors in a hurry to get to their next inspection.
5. Quite simply if we or anyone else is pressured to produce a report within 30 to 45 minutes after the inspection while you wait, there are bound to be at least an error or two in the report. House To Home Inspections strives for a balance accuracy and speed in our home inspection reports.
6. House To Home Inspections offers you the option to receive our 50+ page report in color printed format for an additional fee of $25.00.
