Instead we have gone against popular opinion and chose to become members of InterNACHI (National Association of Certified Home Inspectors). We made the decision to join NACHI because they required us to pass an online Home Inspection Evaluation Exam as well as a Code of Ethics and Standards of Practice Examination. We paid our yearly dues after we passed the tests. These are the basic entry requirements for NACHI. ASHI has no such requirements for new members. Also, NACHI is a not-for-profit organization and also involved with many charitable projects with The INTERNACHI Foundation.
